audi Minister of Justice H.E. Walid Al-Samaani has authorized the launch of an electronic power of attorney service for prison inmates through the Najiz platform.

This service enables inmates to issue powers of attorney electronically using fingerprint authentication, eliminating the need for videoconferencing with a notary public. It aims to streamline processes and enhance access to judicial services. Inmates can issue individual or multi-principal powers of attorney, along with other related electronic services.

Developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior’s General Directorate of Prisons, the service is part of the Judicial Services System initiative, which provides inmates with access to judicial, notarial, and enforcement services via an integrated electronic system.

Available 24/7, the service is fully automated, requiring no human intervention. Powers of attorney are approved instantly upon fingerprint verification, with immediate notification sent to the designated agent(s).
