Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Justice, H.E. Walid Al-Samaani, presided over the 74th meeting of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers, held today in Rabat, Morocco. This follows his re-election as Chairman of the Bureau for a new term.
Al-Samaani expressed gratitude to the Bureau members for their confidence in his leadership and underscored the importance of enhancing Arab cooperation in judicial matters, in alignment with the decisions of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers.
The meeting addressed agenda items, including the Arab Convention on Counter-Terrorism and its implementation mechanisms, alongside efforts to strengthen Arab and international collaboration in combating terrorism.
The meeting also discussed harmonizing Arab legislation, reviewing the draft Arab Model Law on Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances and the draft Arab Guiding Law on the Protection and Assistance of Displaced Persons in Arab Countries.
